If you are a yoga teacher, come learn creative arts exercises to deepen your students' experience and create healing workshops. If you work in the arts, come discover simple yet profound yoga techniques to enhance creative focus and flow. This workshop offers step-by-step guidelines for facilitating art and yoga as complementary practices. You learn to
  • Maintain safe and sacred space
  • Combine movement, sound, and writing with visual arts and yoga
  • Work effectively with images, difficult emotions, therapeutic relationships.
  • Tailor formats to individuals and groups.
Instructor: Hari Kirin Kaur Khalsa, MFA, MA, is a lead trainer of Kundalini Yoga and an artist dedicated to healing through yoga and art. She studied with Yogi Bhajan for 30 years and has been teaching yoga since 1985. Yoga Journal calls her workshops "inspiring," and her book, Art & Yoga: Kundalini Awakening in Everyday Life, "compelling and practical." Her artwork is shown in museums and galleries and she is quoted internationally as an expert on creativity. artandyoga.com

Guest Lecturer: Thomas Moore, PhD, is the author of Care of the Soul and sixteen other books on healing, the soul and spirituality.  He has been a psychotherapist for thirty years, writing about and practicing image based archetypal psychology. His latest book, Writing in the Sand, won the 2010 Books for a Better Life award for "Best Spiritual Book" in the 2010.www.careofthesoul.net 


This training includes Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan), combining meditation, mantra, physical exercises, and breathing techniques. You can use the art exercises you learn here with any style of yoga, meditation, or healing modality. The supportive setting allows you to develop your own approach to facilitating art and yoga through practice, feedback, and reflection.

This course is limited to 25 participants. Please register early to reserve your space. Tuition includes 5-page training supplement to Hari Kirin Kaur Khalsa's new book, Art & Yoga: Kundalini Awakening in Everyday Life and all art supplies. Food and Housing are not included. Housing is available on site or choose  camping, Inn or local  Motel.
