There are many toxic aspects to modern society, and the one I'm mainly concerned about is a loss of soul. This means relying too much on logic, research, technical language, practicalities and machine-like workers. A soulful world would place emphasis on beauty, friendship, connection, family, love, humor and imagination. I am pleased to be part of this Detox Summit as a way of bringing attention to ways that we are hurting and poisoning ourselves. Whether it's refuse in a river or bad ideas in our minds, we need to clean up our way of doing things.
What is really important now is for each of us to live differently, detach from the culture's bad choices and promote a new way of life. My slogan would be: Catharsis is Renaissance. To clean our world we need a rebirth of culture as stunning as Europe in the fifteenth century. We can do it if we wake up and apply our creativity.
